It started with one exhibition.

We're Oussama Laftimi and Abdellah Aboulhamid. We kept circling the same question: why did this region's art world have no real infrastructure of its own? Work was being made everywhere across North Africa, the Levant, and the Gulf, and almost none of it had a way to reach the people who wanted it.

So in 2023 we put on a single show in Marrakesh. People showed up in a way we hadn't expected, and the gap we'd been staring at suddenly had a shape.

YASALAM is our answer to it: a home for the work, and a real line between an artist's studio and someone's living room, wherever in the world that room happens to be.

Who we represent

From North Africa, the Levant, and the Gulf.

We find these pieces homes, in the territory they came from, and far beyond it.

What We Make

Three ways to live with the work.

And then, the rest

We say yes to the work that doesn't fit anywhere else.

A cartridge. An arcade cabinet. A sculpture you can wear. Every once in a while a piece arrives that doesn't belong in any category, so we make a category for it.

I was looking for film for my camera and i ended up at Lblassa Art space. I was pleasantly surprised to find not only my film but also, to go home with such great design posters. I highly recommend to visit.

A gorgeous gallery featuring high-quality (numbered) prints. The owner is knowledgeable and provides insightful guidance. If you're looking for authentic art in Guéliz, this is the place.

Super friendly, small gallery space, with a coffee upstairs. They do also have Kodak Color and B&W Film.
